Curious what destination wedding couples will be doing this year?  Then, keep reading for some of our predictions!

Separate-Day Photography

While drone photography is still on the rise, couples have gravitated towards a new photography trend: separate-day shoots. This gives the bride and groom all the time they need to take photos without sacrificing precious time with their loved ones on the big day.

Garden-Style Themes

We’re seeing a lot of nature-inspired destination weddings lately –especially the newly introduced Xolumado weddings, by Karisma Resorts. Here, couples can become one with nature by incorporating greenery and other elements from their surroundings into things like centerpieces and décor. A simple, yet stunning wedding option!

Late-Night Bites

Gone are the days of elaborate dessert spreads and towering wedding cakes! Couples are thinking ahead in 2020 by providing savory snacks like sliders, tacos, and fries to satisfy those late-night cravings after a day of drinking and dancing.

Natural Hair & Makeup

The relaxed, messy and textured hairstyle will forever be a favorite for the beach bride. We’re starting to see messy ponytails and loose chignons with simple barrettes and brooches over hair gems this year. Brides are also opting for a more natural and dewy makeup look this year, too.

Sleeved Gowns

With the boho look on the rise, it’s no wonder bridal gowns are now showcasing features like boat necklines, soft tulle and illusion fabric. Drapey sleeves and flowy silhouettes are also becoming the next bridal trend, which is ideal for a beach bride on a hot day!

Textured Bouquets

The sunset shades of rich peach, deep fuchsia and corals are still going strong from last year –but what we’re really starting to notice for 2020, is the texture and design of floral arrangements. Florists have begun incorporating everything from dried grasses, fruits, and pinecones, to freeform shapes and long loose ribbons. It’s truly become an art form!

Weekend-Long Celebrations

Since destination weddings are becoming more and more popular every year, it’s no surprise that couples are spreading the festivities out for an entire weekend versus packing it into one night. This way, everyone can soak in the experience together rather than rushing through it.
