You just got to the beach and realize you forgot to pack the sunscreen again –oops! Next time, be sure to bring our list of beach essentials to ensure everything is packed and accounted for:

1. The Right Bag

You can’t pack the ultimate beach bag without the right beach bag! Be sure to select a roomy tote that you can fit your towel and other large beach essentials in. You might also want to consider purchasing a tote with a zipper compartment to store your cash, your ID, or cell phone in. Your beach bag can take the place of your carry-on when flying, too!

2. Sun Protection

Don’t forget about the sunscreen! You’ll definitely need it –especially if you’re planning to vacation under the heat of the hot Caribbean sun. Remember to bring along sunblock with at least 30 SPF and reapply it often. We also recommend bringing your favorite swimsuit cover-up when you just need a break from the sunshine!

3. UV- Blocking Sunglasses

To ensure your eyes are well-protected from ultraviolet rays, double-check that you bring a pair of UV-protection shades. Your eyes will thank you after spending those long days lounging around in the sand!

4. A Lightweight Towel

Although some resorts will provide guests with beach towels, you might decide to bring your own along with you. If that’s the case, we recommend packing a lightweight beach towel that dries quickly and doesn’t weigh down your beach bag too much. You’ll also want to make sure it doesn’t take up too much room in your bag.

5. Protection of Valuables

To avoid sunscreen leaking all over your bag, or sand in your cell phone, make sure you store your valuables in a zipped compartment, or inside a large zip-locked plastic bag for protection. The last thing you need is to find your expensive camera at the bottom of your beach bag soaked in sandy water –eek!

6. Stay Hydrated

It’s always a great idea to pack a couple of bottles of water when you make your way to the beach! Not only does the salty water and air make beachgoers extremely parched, but staying hydrated is crucial to prevent heat exhaustion, or worse –fainting!

7. Baby Powder Hack

Did you know that baby powder can work wonders for removing sand when you’re in a pinch for time, and the rinsing station’s packed? Simply dust your feet or arms with the powder and brush the sand away with ease!

8. Beach Entertainment

Hoping to catch up on your favorite magazines or novel? Or maybe, you’re hoping to doze off to your favorite playlist! Whatever it is, don’t forget to pack your headphones, some snacks, or favorite beach toys. This’ll ensure you’re fully-covered for the entire day at the beach!
